How to choose the perfect swimsuit I
May 23rd, 2017

Finding the perfect swimsuit is one of the trickiest and most difficult tasks for any woman.Personally, I feel that all my insecurities, failed diets and absences to the gym are evident in front of the mirror in the dressing room.
As an Image Consultant, I am going to be honest with you, I don’t believe in the traditional “body shape” guide to help you choose the perfect swimsuit. The truth is that when we go shopping we don’t say I am an inverted triangle or a pear shape I can’t wear this, no, we say, I have a large bust and have cellulite, what can I wear??
That’s why today I am sharing with you this real guide to help you find your most flattering bathing suit whether you’re curvy and full-figured or stick-thin and boyish, top-heavy, bottom-heavy, or somewhere in between. So lets start…
SMALL CHEST: if this is your case, your goal must be to create the illusion of a larger chest and for that you must go for a top with embellishments or ruffles, also a suit with padding can help to give you a little something extra.

Your small bust allows you to go for a swimsuit like this one from Revolve clothing.
FULL CHEST: If you have big boobies, you must avoid string bikinis and look for cup sizes and under wire that will offer you the support you need so your boobs won’t be all over the place when you take a dip.

FLAT BOOTY: Frills and ruching are very helpful in this case too. as they give the illusion of a bigger behind. Choose bottoms in bright colors and loud prints to try and distract from a flatter tush. Also, showing a little cheek is preferably to full-coverage bottoms.

BIG BUTT: If you’ve got an ample backside, high-cut swimsuits can often be uncomfortable and a bit too revealing. You’ll need a suit with enough fabric in that area so you’re not constantly tugging for more coverage or picking a wedgie. You should look for designs in solid colors, without any extra frills or embellishments on the rear.

The single most important rule to remember when you are shopping for the perfect swimsuit is BALANCE.What do I mean by balance? Simple – you want your bottom half and top half to balance out and for your body to look proportional. Humans love symmetry, so a balanced body is the most universally pleasing aesthetic for the eye.
My suggestions for shopping for the perfect swimsuit online (there is an option for every budget): ASOS, MODCLOTH, ANTHROPOLOGIE, BARE NECESSITIES, REVOLVE and NET A PORTER have infinite options to choose from.
I hope this guide is useful for you and next week I will continue with my suggestions.
Have a lovely week,
